!: Nice Three Simple Features to Create a Luxury Kitchen

The kitchen is the heart of the home and can be a great room to spend your time. It can be a place to sit and chat with a cup of tea or a glass of wine, a room to cook up some gourmet delicacies and somewhere to share a meal. The kitchen is a functional and a social room, so it pays to make it look great, so you can enjoy it to its utmost.

The range of kitchen features and Accessories on the market is huge and home furnishing can be quite confusing, but here are three features that could help you create a luxury kitchen:

Double Ovens
If you're a budding Marco Pierre White or Nigella Lawson and you want to cook up a storm in your kitchen you will need the right oven. Double ovens are the creme de la creme of cookers, and whether you are cooking coq au vin or a pack of fish fingers, they will do the job more than adequately and add a bit of style to your kitchen.

Granite Worktops
A great way to add a touch of class to your kitchen is with granite worktops - Norfolk, Newport or Newcastle, it doesn't matter where you live; they look universally chic and are a real touch of quality.

Retro Fridge Freezers
A luxurious kitchen is not complete without a tasteful fridge freezer, stocked with delicious snacks and tempting beverages. Retro fridges in 1950s designs are very popular at the moment, and so they should be as their voluptuous curves really make them more artwork than ice box.

Of course you can dress your kitchen up further with vases of flowers and pictures on the walls but it's the three articles above that will act as a solid base for your stylish and luxurious kitchen.

Double Ovens - Do You Need One?

!±8± Double Ovens - Do You Need One?

Double ovens are a fantastic solution to problems caused when cooking numerous dishes at the same time. If you're the sort of chef that only cooks frozen pizzas chances are a double oven wouldn't be necessary. But if you have a larger family, or like to create culinary feasts requiring you to grill, boil and bake at the same time a double oven could be right up your street.

The top cavity

The top cavity of your double cooker usually incorporates a grill - great for sausages, bacon and cheese on toast - snack foods or individual meals are often prepared in this area.

Sometimes the top cavity space doubles up as a second, smaller oven, allowing you to bake or roast smaller or individual meals. But beware - the top cavity in a double oven often will not cook at the same rate or heat as the main oven. This is because it sometimes doesn't have a fan element incorporated into it. This being the Case, many cooks tend to use the top cavity as just a grill or as a warmer, rather than oven bake or roast.

Today there are some ovens on the market which do have a fan cooker function in both cavities. If you are looking for a solution where you would be able to cook equally well in both ovens this is a good option. Ask your supplier for details on which double ovens cater for this.

The main oven

The main cavity on a double oven is often the appliance's most utilized feature and so it is often fully fitted with all the bells and whistles such as defrost functions, slow cooking features and as stated above, a fan oven.

This is the cavity you would most likely use in the event of a family dinner/ Sunday roast for the main ingredient of your meal - in many Cases the roast meat, potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Another instance where a double oven could be useful is when you need to cook various different foods, at different temperatures, simultaneously - for example if cooking burger and chips. In double cookers you are able to grill the burger at a higher temperature whilst oven baking the chips, thus finishing the two ingredients at the same time.

How big is your household?

Double ovens are a great addition to a standard household of around four people. For smaller households that don't do a lot of cooking a single oven will most likely suffice - as long as you don't intend on throwing large dinner parties.

On the other hand a double oven may not be big enough for larger families. In this Case you could consider big appliances such as range style cookers which may have three or four cavities, or even two very large cavities. Additionally range cookers tend to benefit from more hob space or even a griddle which further adds to your cooking experience. But don't forget that for a larger oven like this you'll need a big kitchen space.

Once you've decided the size of your cooker your next decision should be: "what fuel?" Gas double ovens and electric double ovens are both options.

For further information on the type of oven you need ask your dealer for help.
